Also, I know this is a good "baby step" wallet for those new to self-custody, but would it be useful for those familiar with seed-based wallets (Coldcard, etc) to use Bitkey as a hop between a lightning wallet and other wallets like Coldcard, Jade, etc? Or would that just be superfluous?

Just trying to figure whether or not it would be a waste of money that could just be put into bitcoin instead. 

 Total waste of money for you. It’s a new category I’d dub a trusted multisig. You don’t even hold your own seed phrase. So from an adversarial standpoint you have to treat it as if block has access to all the keys whenever they wish. 

 Ok, so cold storage for the technically disinclined. That's pretty disappointing. Maybe future versions of it can give people the option of using seeds like traditional hardware wallets. 

 What else did you like & not like about it? 

 Its an extremely easy to use and well designed product, but requires far to much trust in block to be used for anything over 100 million sats imo 

 Which part specifically requires too much trust in your opinion? 

 The whole thing. You don’t even generate a seed phrase on your own during setup for the hardware device.

 Definitely this! And my package was kinda open…the glue was weak on the cardboard. Idk if I should be worried
