Russia has placed Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, Lithuania’s culture minister, and other officials from Baltic nations on its 'wanted' list for their alleged involvement in the destruction of Soviet-era monuments. The move comes after the three Baltic nations, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, demolished most of their Soviet-era monuments following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Russian police have accused those on the 'wanted' list of taking 'hostile actions against historical memory' and Russia. The Estonian PM and other Baltic politicians would not be arrested unless they enter Russian territory. The Russian Investigative Committee has ordered a criminal investigation into the matter.
