Wdym groups reposts? 

 Plain repost/boosts of the same note can be grouped in a compact form, so the user can see it just one time (at least in a defined timeframe, let say 12 hours) in the feed, saving precious space and so reducing the noise.

 Really? That is great. Maybe I didn't noticed it because the "too many" (how many?) factor. 

 Sort of the holy grail of a thick client. That, and tracking what you have seen and haven’t seen / remembering your place in the timeline. 

 Every client needs this, no reason for showing multiple instances of the same repost seperate from eachother
