How many of your favorite movies can you list before it takes more than 10 seconds to come up with another title? 👇🏻👇🏻 nostr:note1e46psukj40qhnf9kc05jk5x2eqtyvkze9gj52qgltexdeqgdyccqttzhtm
That is an impressively long list. The length of which I have provably not been able to replicate.
While in film school I had a competition with a friend tracking how many movies I watched in a year. I once managed a little more than one per day for a year. I think it was just shy of 400, like 385 or something like that. I want to look back and say "what a waste," but i loved it and learned so much about film so i can't convince myself that it was wasted time even when i try 😆 (i also had multiple film classes where we literally watched a movie and did story/shot/scene analysis on it, so i had help, lol)
My brain blanked 😐 here’s how far I got Pulp fiction Shawshank redemption Master and commander Braveheart Casino No country for old men Godfather series Road to perdition Good fellas Blow Gladiator
Ah damn, Blow! Road to Perdition and Master and Commander are SO good too. Can't believe how many on this list i didn't have, these are solid.
It takes me more than 10 seconds just to think of a movie I liked
lol, then make it 25 seconds, lol.
This is our “could watch at anytime” list. We printed out photos of the movie posters and put them into the film reel display! We gotta add Bladerunner 2049 to the wall as we just finished it and it’s so great. It really hit me this second time watching it. https://m.primal.net/LDno.jpg
Damn can't believe i forgot Casablanca, Clue, Collateral, and Pulp Fiction from my list! Yours is a solid list all around, but those 4 def should've made it to mine. If you haven't seen sunshine, give it a go. It looks like one of those stupid "end of the world" type films and even came out around the same time as the retarded movie where they "restart the center of the earth" which seems like it would be the same movie "but in space." Could not be further from each other in style and seriousness of the film. Sunshine is a super underrated movie, imo. Most people have a lot of similar ones on their lists, that's one that people usually miss. PS. Add Perfume as well, but watch it twice before you rate it fully. the ending is wild and its jarring the first time you watch it. The second time you watch it you realize it couldn't end any other way.
I keep hearing so many good things about Sunshine. Adam from YMS on YouTube regularly brings that up as one of his favorites and he’s quite the critic. Added to the queue! I think I’ve seen Perfume but it was many years ago and I was likely stoned out of my mind so I barely remember it besides Alan Rickman being in it lol. I’ll keep an open mind to it as some movies need multiple viewings to fully appreciate. This happened with Bladerunner 2049 just the other day! Anyways, it’d be dope to hear more of your thoughts on movies!
A lot of those you could've broken down into individual movies as was the original objective rather than going by series/franchise, would've kept you in the race for longer 😏 LOTR: Fellowship of the ring Matrix: Reloaded Dark Knight Rises Seriously though if you enjoyed Perfume, I check out The Red Violin 👍
The Social Network Once Upon A Time In Hollywood The Shawshank Redemption Good Will Hunting Pulp Fiction Parasite Mean Girls Whiplash One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Interstellar All I could get off the top of my head.
