He does not care about the plebs. 

He discovered he could make a little more money peddling his book. That's it. Controversy sells  books - so he's spinning up controversy.

Don't buy his book unless you'd like to contribute to his retirement fund - which is already nicely padded by #NRA and gun lobby money.

Book deals are a form of money laundering. 

It's used to pension off people who have served their purpose and are now redundant. 

Bolton got a book deal.
Bill Barr got a book deal.
Trump Jr. got a book deal.
Emily Murphy was awarded tenure.
John Yoo was awarded tenure.
Ben Sasse was awarded tenure.

Paul Ryan got a job at Fox.
