Instagram is testing a new feature that resembles Snap Maps, allowing users to share location-based updates on a map. The feature is currently being tested in a few markets and requires users to choose a specific group of people to share their location with. Unlike Snapchat, which allows public posts to Snap Maps, Instagram's feature is opt-in and includes controls over location sharing.
