 @21f06d90 Huh I've never had any trouble using video out from my iPad. Are you talking like a Lightning adapter for the old iPads or the new USB-C ones? I can watch Netflix on an external display if I just plug it in over USB-C
 @096d2c53 @21f06d90 The #iPhone lacks a notion of the #iPad’s external display
 @64e56151 @21f06d90 Currently yeah, but how do you know that's true for the 15s? https://www.macrumors.com/2023/09/13/all-iphone-15-models-support-displayport/
 @096d2c53 @21f06d90 I don’t know because I don’t have one yet (and presumably neither do you) but the link you posted says, “Unfortunately for fans of the Stage Manager feature on select iPad models, the iPhone does not yet offer an extended display mode.”
 @64e56151 @21f06d90 You don't need Stage Manager for the iPhone to be able to output video, iPads without Stage Manager and USB-C can output video without mirroring. Stage Manager is a different thing all together
 @096d2c53 @21f06d90 Not sure why you’re arguing with me and not the @d2cb88a3 author about that
 @64e56151 @21f06d90 @d2cb88a3 Because the MacRumors article said nothing wrong, extended display mode is not the same as video output
 @096d2c53 Yea, I hadn't tried since USB-C days, so I guess it's old info.
