A node on solar during the night. I'd expect some off-grid people in the BTC community. Nobody you know doing something with batteries?
Mining takes a lot of power, so mining 24hrs/day on solar takes lots of batteries. I've had success mining on solar on sunny days after the batteries are fully charged. If you can use the heat from the miner it's even better. Solar mining can be a way to significantly reduce the roi on a solar system.
I started with an S9 running Braiins OS, which allowed me to tune the miner to use only the excess electricity my panels produced. I ran the miner on sunny days after our batteries were fully charged.

I’m in the process of building a direct-dc solar system that will run an s19 directly from the panels without the need for a power supply. I'll be running the heat from the miner into the home ductwork. Running direct dc is supposed to increase efficiency. I’ll see how efficient it is when I get it running, hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

My experience with solar mining has been really positive so far. @rev.hodl has a thread on here about his solar mining experiences that might be a helpful resource. The Home Mining Wizards Telegram group has a lot of folks who know lots about mining in general.
