 I’m having second thoughts about buying iPhone 15 non-pro because it has USB 2 not 3, see attached pic.

I’m starting to think that maybe instead of upgrading iPhone I should just wait till my old iPhone breaks?

 @efa2e20e But does an iPhone need USB3+ support? The port primarily exists for charging at this point and not data transfers right?

I would think most accessories you might want to use, like a good USB microphone, wouldn't need USB3 either.

 @efa2e20e I’m waiting till my iPhone 11 breaks … or one of my kids breaks their phone. No reason for my to upgrade otherwise.

You should definitely buy it.  Actually, you should buy 2.  Donate your old phone to Ukraine.  Unless you support Putin.

 @efa2e20e Does that mean ONLY supports USB 2? Or supports USB 3+ and is backward compatible with USB 2 devices?
