For the nostr:nprofile1qqsggm4l0xs23qfjwnkfwf6fqcs66s3lz637gaxhl4nwd2vtle8rnfqprdmhxue69uhhg6r9vehhyetnwshxummnw3erztnrdakj7qfqwaehxw309ahx7um5wghx26tww4hxg7nhv9h856t89eehqctrv5hsz8rhwden5te0w35x2cmfw3skgetv9ehx7um5wgcjucm0d5hsjmvd7t Alexandria knowledge base app, how would y'all like to see a home page organized? Should it: 1. Show the most recent knowledge base articles on your relays. 2. Show the most recent knowledge base articles from people you follow. 3. Not show any articles, but just present a search bar.
I'd do follows, but maybe add a relay setting in a later version, for community relays.
Relay-based navigation is a great idea.
It would be nice to be able to choose "all of my relays" or a particular "one of my relays."
I think those are two good defaults. Think an extension to that would be pulling in through relay lists
I think he's pulling relays from profile.
Yep the initial relay list is coming from the user profile on sign-in.
maybe relay feed is more appropriate? Different from your default relays, something the user may have thematically grouped together.
I think that is related to what nostr:nprofile1qqsd6ejdteqpvse63ntf7qz6u9yqspp4z7ymt8094urzwm0x2ceaxxgprfmhxue69uhhg6r9vehhyetnwshxummnw3erztnrdakszxmhwden5te0w35x2cmfw3skgetv9ehx7um5wgcjucm0d5dj64vx mentioned. We can have a Discord- or Slack-style relay-based navigation. nostr:nevent1qqspr5djhd6dse69nv5kfhpwlgj6jrmynxj680j8hzygfv4z0n4clegprpmhxue69uhkv6tvw3jhytnwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0qgsd6ejdteqpvse63ntf7qz6u9yqspp4z7ymt8094urzwm0x2ceaxxgrqsqqqqqpszg6ql
Yes, but that's an additional feature, I think, tying Alexandria in as a library for a community. Like Biblestr.
And then we need AUTH for that and whatever strfry magic nostr:nprofile1qqs8eseg5zxak2hal8umuaa7laxgxjyll9uhyxp86c522shn9gj8crspz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t09uq35amnwvaz7tmswfhkv6tvv4ejumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcylknqy is cooking up. For now, we can use thecitadel.nostr1.com as the default we offer. No AUTH on that and it's only OtherStuff and non-spammy.
btw I was going to mention to y'all, somewhat stealth feature improvement I made to the non-auth relays is the ability to use negentropy sync with other relays. I actually didnt mean to have this turned off but I found a bug last week that had been preventing it. so for example, if you wanted to sync and/or stream events up/down with thecitadel to another strfry you have running somewhere, it's easy to do. Soon I may release UI options for it. for example, sync down to a local strfry for dev or to a public secondary relay. negentropy is really neat 🦕🦖
Can you briefly explain negentropy? I've heard it mentioned a few times, but I don't know what it means yet.
its an add-on to the protocol where two relays can very efficiently find notes they're missing and transfer only the notes they dont have. (for any given REQ)
I could see 1 and 2 being useful. Can you make it an option up to the user?
Yeah we can totally make it an option on the home page.
Generally 2 would be my choice, but I would love to to be able to see people I follow, posts on my relays (or a particular relay), and by subject/tag depending on my interests at the time.
