I tested it and it works. You can get it right now via Obtainium!

A: An android app you can get via F-Droid that lets you install any other app via the developer’s Github, so you avoid having to wait for slow groups like F-Droid
Q: How do I do it?
A: First get Obtainium via F-Droid, then copy-paste the Github link:

FYI in newpipe you can export settings and stuff to a zip file, and then restore it in newpipe forks. I just did it, ezpz.

I figured YouTube had made some change that broke newpipe. This post confirmed it. Brave newpipe is working though so this post was very helpful.
It was very helpful to me too. I have at least using Obtainium and Brave New Pipe thereby.

Wow, a faster updating, less buggy fork of newpipe with more host options? How have I not heard of this? I've already replaced newpipe and restored my settings.

Freetube still works. Also Yattee for iOS still works well.
Got newpipe from f droid. Recently the app wont play any videos. Im on the most recent version. No idea what it is
ViMusic has stopped working as well, but Harmony is still working.
