imho, nostriga was the best nostr.world conference so far. and that says a lot, because nostrica and nostrasia were bangers. as i wait at the gate to fly out of riga, wanted to share some thoughts while my impressions are still fresh.
i don’t know the actual numbers, but it felt like this was the biggest nostr event yet. the quality and signal of presentations was excellent. we are leaning into what is working, while at the same time there are still many fresh ideas emerging.
in comparison, i must say that bitcoin events feel a bit stale. you can almost pick any talk/keynote/panel and drop it into any other bitcoin conference over the past few years - and it wouldn’t feel out of place.
nostr has a lot of momentum and i dare to say that we have the winning hand vs. the legacy web. just keep pushing fam. 💜☀️

Bitcoin events do feel stale a bit because it's just older than Nostr and there are more Bitcoin events during the year comparing to Nostr only events. So a lot of similar faces at Bitcoin events. In 7-10 years you will feel the same about Nostr events. It's just how tech cycles work.

completely agree. in terms of numbers, apparently it was only 342 attendees, but felt like at least 1,000. in any case, given the people that showed up and the content of the presentations we saw, the legend-to-normie ratio was the highest of any conference I've ever attended.
I absolutely cannot wait for the next. Absolutely shattered I couldn't make Nostriga.

How to do many tag-on events without generating the same amount of burnout that many feel from bitcoin conferences these days.
The big one is Bitcoin Alive - usually on in late March or April from memory. Would be cool if they pushed it back though to do it back to back with a Nostralia!
