😂🤝 Wasn’t meant to be a trick question but touché 💜 I think especially for written content like blogs and newsletters, Nostr is robust and feature-rich enough to make it the primary publication location. Instead of sharing a snippet of an article to Nostr and then linking out to something like substack, I’d love to start seeing the reverse. Write the full article on Nostr, and then share a snippet of it to Substack, X, etc with a link back to the full Nostr article.
what exactly do you mean when you say "on nostr"? What app(s) do you recommend?
Amethyst, Nostur or Freerse on Android. Yakihonne, Damus or Primal on iphone
In the case of long form content, Nostr natively supports long form content with markdown. Habla.news and Yakihonne are two clients built specifically for publishing and reading Nostr articles. Once published, many of the mobile clients like Nostur, Damus and Amethyst show those articles in your feed.

Because my Fediverse app is to the left of the Nostr one. That's about as much as I learned at school.
Different platforms for different audiences is one thing. I’m referring more to when people link their Nostr followers out to their content that very easily could have been hosted natively on Nostr. Especially with written articles/blogs. I assume it’s related to gaining subscribers or earning ad revenue on those other platforms. But Nostr handles written content well.

People can tap a share button and instantly share on x without having to change screens or open the x app. It'd be cool to do that with nostr rather than having to copy and paste the link
I’ve noticed some Nostr apps are better than others at that, at least on iOS. But yea easier sharing outside of Nostr will make that easier.
What practical difference does that make?
It drives people to nostr instead of away from it. There are some regular users of nostr with enormous followings on other platforms. It would be a massive boost to Nostr if they would publish here, and then share a preview on other platforms with a link back to the full version here. Nostr may not be robust enough for some content types such as video, but this would work well for written content like blogs/articles.
Well now you’re saying something completely different. Posting a preview to twatter of your nostr content is not the same as cross posting. If people on twatter cross posted to nostr, you wouldn’t need both accounts.
Not talking about cross posting at all. I’m talking about making nostr your home base for publication and then sharing your nostr content elsewhere to drive people back to nostr. The opposite, which I currently see more of, is people publishing an article on a website/substack/etc., and then sharing links to it on Nostr.
