What if I had an unexpected force close of a Lightning channel (Mobile Electrum Wallet<—>Electrum Trampoling rooting node) which has been purged by high fees ?
Are the funds lost or can I (or Electrum) republish the last commitment tx when fees are lower ? I don’t know how I can do that on mobile though…not sure how to proceed here…

 If the closing transaction is not onchain, isn't the channel still open? Maybe i misunderstood something 

 Yep it should be, but I'm not sure the LN works like that
Like if the commitment tx is broadcasted then it may triggers something for the nodes, which seem to think that the channel is not functioning anymore. 

 Yeah probably. Or even just your node marking it as closed, without watchin the chain. Since you initiated the close.
 You could try to rebradcast with higher fee, or cpfp.

Or wait for low fees
