Open the @ZEUS app, go to my lightning address, and click “redeem”. Apparently that’s how it works on their architecture, didn’t know that before.
Yes that's how Zeus lightning address works. But as you use Alby Hub you could use their lightning address too.
Yea that’s what I’m trying to do now, use the Alby lightning adress, but yeah, doesn’t seem to work yet.
I didn't do that yet but I think you need to link your Alby Hub with your Alby account
I can never connect alby to Damus. It always says it’s connected but I can never truly set up my wallet
Huh? What part of it doesn’t work?
It always saying finish activating your wallet and then I redo the connection process and the same thing happens again and again so I just gave up.
this is in Damus? hmm. maybe somebody from Damus can help?
it's still sometimes a bit confusing, but it works for me.
What platform are you running Damus on?
Platform ?
I have it downloaded on my iPhone
Apple apparently doesn’t allow Damus to zap sats
By default not, but you can fix it.
The developer told me about zap.army - are there other ways?
Hmmm so what do I do with zap.army
Go to the web page on your iPhone and enable zaps. It will run a script to enable zaps. I was hesitant but the developer of Damus himself told me about it. It worked for me. You still need the Alby connection too
Can you try zapping me please to test it out.
Awesome it worked. I’ll send back
which lightning address do you use in the nostr profile?
sending and receiving are different things there. Sending can be done through NWC receiving is done through the LN address
Now I’ve put my @Alby address in there, both for sending and receiving. I remember I had this “issue” a year ago aswell. But I think @jb55 answered me that it can take some time, due to different clients and such. Not sure tho.
Bro the lightning address is only for receiving
Then which one is for sending?
For sending a zap you just pay an invoice with any wallet. You can install Nostr Wallet Connect to your node and use it for instant zaps if the client you use has NWC
