In an emergency, what the FASTEST way to cash out of #bitcoin?

Say my house burned down and insurance didn't cover it. Or I broke my leg and I'm off work for 6 months. Something like that

KYC or not. I suspect opening a Coinbase or PayPal account would work, or maybe Strike

#asknostr #btc #fiat
I suspect Venmo and cash app would also work

Not concerned with taxes in this scenario
 venmo didnt work for me
not even after 24 hours
 can't speak to anything else
zero experience
only venmo
Ideally p2p with another bitcoiner but they won't have much cash if they are a real bitcoiner. I'd say an exchange for sure.
 Don’t “cash out”. Spend slowly.
Find someone on localbitcoins from the nearest city if you want cash. KYC and account linking for coinbase may take a whole day.
Coinbase is probably fastest. Or a loaded friend who’ll accept btc.
I would say buy a visa debit card from the Bitcoin company, or from bitrefill. 🤔
Yeah but you can't pay your mortgage with that for example 😅
Bitcoin Well is a good company. Once you’re set up, all you do is send X BTC to a specific address they supply at setup, and after one confirmation on the blockchain they send the fiat by email money transfer (Canada) to an email address of your choice, for subsequent deposit into the bank account of your choice. I’m not sure how Bitcoin Well navigates this in the US version of the service, since I can’t sign up as a US citizen. Of course there are tax implications, but we all understand this. And of course there’s the wait time for the bank to produce the actual funds. After the trucker convoy two friends of mine liquidated their chartered bank account to move it to a local credit union and had to wait a month to get it all out. And it was only about $80k. The banks don’t have your money.
I guess an exchange would be the fastest.

but the best would be p2p (see hodlhodl). don't underestimate what liquidity people have to provide.

Some people do p2p trades as a business with virtual assistants.

you could also use bitcoin as collateral via hodlhodl lend or on centralized platforms - nexo is still growing strong. Just be sure to be able to cover your liquidation position if you go that route.
In Europe, Bitstamp sends instant bank transfers to your account if your bank supports it. I.e. you can get your fiat in about an hour (BTC confirmation time + bank transfer).
Fastest way is to have strike, and tip your strike.me/username page. Send straight from your wallet, it lands as cash in the account, hit withdraw to bank
Send from on chain or lightning you mean?
Works with either, just swipe left or right
