Nothing. Every genocide in human history is precipitated by a slew of clear and present warnings that most ignore. The masses are doomed; the question is who is listening and willing to resist.
The worst part of Genocide, from a statutory definitional perspective, is it need not involve direct murder. Simply putting into place such circumstances to erase a group is sufficient. It can be quiet, insidious, and “lawful”.
Maybe it’s silly, but I like to think that increasing hashrate corresponds to an increasing collective consciousness. Maybe something along the lines of a new renaissance; an incremental process of civilizational rebirth or reorientation…or even some kind of altogether new orientation or new human chapter. Hashrate towards a new holiness.
