 Sure. for instance. 
I as do many “invest/ gamble” my resources in all of these categories 

some people rent their housing, own no assets and only buy lottery tickets and go the the casino 
 Well it should still add up to 100%

If I'm being surveyed, my allocation should total 100. 
I invest 50% in gummy bears
And 10% at the casino
And 40% in pet rocks 


Then the individual responses are tallied to get the total. 

It's unclear how these numbers were derived🧐. Where do they come from?
