If RFK Jr. is not the man for the job, then America's prospects for the future seem grave and even uncertain. The political chicanery of the past few years have pushed many Americans to distrust the political system bequeathed to us. And these abuses will allow figures of chaos to ascend to the helm as means through which the people will vent their hatred and revenge on the political class at the expense of the societal fabric.
RFK Jr. could serve as a moderating figure and extend the life of the country; however, should Trump be imprisoned, the people will rally around him and perhaps give him dictatorial powers to crush those the people perceive as enemies. Once given such power, and considering Trump's character, it's unlikely he'd cede the powers granted back to the people. Nominating RFK Jr. and letting him debate Trump may convince the people that Trump pales in comparison with the former.
