@43d81a81 @9154863e  the Civil War killed 2% of the population.  Covid killed .02% of the population and these numbers are inflated since hospitals were paid to classify a death as covid.  For most people it is mild and now the death rate is near zero.

The "fun" part though is that it has demonstrated a tendency toward immune suppression, much like AIDS, so the actual death toll from secondary infections will get a lot higher over time.
