A critically (and IMO, criminally) underrated movie, especially relative to the other MI movies. It’s always been one of my favorites: incredible action, fight scenes with doves in the background, perfect Limp Biscuit theme song. This was peak 90s/early 2000s culture
In my mind, this was always the peak of Mission Impossible movies. Tom Cruise might have pushed his own boundaries but he never pulled together others like this one.
Limp Bizkit has been discredited as uncool but they defined popular music for the turn of the century - you had to be there to know how big they were.
Covering Faith & Behind Blue Eyes to proper originals with My Generation & Break Stuff; they were the breakthrough from old to new.
Your great grandkids will know. Everyone else will dismiss it.
Fully underwrite this. I’ll never forget listening to Limp Bizkit with my cargo shorts and Nokia phone in my fully analog car. Simpler times
Pass it on to your grandkids.
They’ll never know this stuff happened without it.
They defined 5-7 years of music against rap which dominated after them.
No-one who wasn’t there will get what happened without this context
