I never joined Mastodon because I thought that model was idiotic. Censorship with extra steps, as Rick and Morty would put it.
People bringing that to Nostr with Ditto and everyone cheering it on feels like a backdoor to reinviting censorship is emerging.
Relay moderation is fine, but siloed data is the antithesis of #nostr.
Ditto-like infrastructure is why BlueSky and Mastodon devolved into what they are now.
It’s the tech underneath that matters, not the names. If nostr goes into this direction, it will no longer be “nostr”
