It doesn't people are using it later on, it's just an easy, fast, maintenance-free solution to quickly collect sats until it's moved somewhere else. Some people just take longer than other to move it out.

 It's not good but not so bad either.

Just look at Bitcoiners in meetup and conference, most of them don't even pay with Bitcoin and 9 on 10 that does are using a custodial wallet. It's sad but let's face it. 

 More than 90%, and that's not what winning looks like to me..  

 For a lot of us who use Braiins, the payouts are so small that custodial wallets are fine. Say what you want WoS just fucking works. 

 That makes sense.  Lightning self custody does have a cost. Custodial wallets are free to setup and get started.

 Hate to say WoS just has a better user experience. 

 Custodial solutions are easier to set up. Even Bitcoiners like quick and easy solutions 

 fwiw, receiving privacy is poor on Lightning. When I want to preserve my anonymity from my counterparty, I receive to a custodial wallet, then withdraw to my node.

 I do use WOS, it has a nice experience, it's good for quick payment and UTXO managment. It doesn't mean I keep my savings there.
I don't want to spend so much with infrastructure to keep a LN node.

Ideally, one should keep their savings in Bitcoin &  their spending wallet in a custodial LN⚡. I keep around $500 with WOS for my day to day spending. 99.99% of the population will not going to run non custodial LN⚡ channels. It's not happening
