In the wake of a young woman being killed by a speeding police car while she was on the sidewalk, a Police union officer (while laughing) said:

'No, it’s a regular person. Yeah. Just write a check. Eleven thousand dollars. She was 26 anyway. She had limited value'! 

If you wanted to sum up the callousness of #Police authority in the USA, this would be a good example;

if you think such attitudes by police officers towards civilians are limited to the US, think again!

 @43d7c4ea we must do away with qualified immunity. Police must be held just as accountable for their actions as ordinary citizens and they should be required to carry personal insurance for their actions.
