Because of that, it's a perfect illustration of the unintended consequences of bad government policy.

I imagine one of them had good intentions in mind without having any idea of how the web actually works.

 Fuck no. We need a way to just automatically  block all cookies.

 I like them when they come with a pic of choc chip. And i'm human. 

But, isn't #Google doing some'in' about it? 

 I usually just treat it as an ad, and just block it. 

 Firefox (or fork of it) + uBlock origin + I don't care about cookie + cookie clean up at each exit, should do the trick most of the time.

At work I'm forced to usr Edge without any addons and when I visit some website I like, it becomes a real nightmare with cookie to refuse with several click needed, shitty, disgusting and defintely disturbing ads all over the place.

I wish everyone could experience a clean internet, there is no way they would accept as it is without blocker ever again. 

 If you clean up your cookies on every session you will see the cookie banners every day in the same websites. The plugins don't cover everything. 

 Newer Firefox should block these. 

 Ublock Origin has a cookie banner filter and Brave Shields has a cookie banner blocker too. A very handy tool to clean up your web experience.  

 The only thing cookie banners have accomplished is training literally everyone to click 'Accept' to *absolutely anything* that appears in the bottom portion of a website. 

 And how many human hours are wasted in total every year on this planet because of them… 

 Ever opened up one of those recipe websites (you strike me as the cooking type)? 

 Cookie banners and data safety consent popups make me fkn mad, insane, crazy and hateful within the split of a microsecond that i recognize them. My passionate hate for those can hardly be described...
