Genuinely curious about @394b5c0e ‘s take here, would love some feedback. Maybe I’m an asshole, but I don’t mourn these politician’s passing. Thieves of the taxpayer, in my mind.
@313d0358 @394b5c0e Doesn't that suggest you do NOT have Stockholm syndrome? :) Nothing wrong with that, in my book. I figure I do not need to be crass and celebrate, but I am also not going to mourn. Politics is quite unlike physics. With physics, it is said it progresses one death at a time. But with politics, there always seems to be someone (or several someones) to take the place to hold the line.
@313d0358 nah you're good; I celebrated when McCain died, the corrupt warmongering fuck. Some politicians go into office with principle and ideals, but almost all exit office (one way or another) as sick, corrupt shitheels. The number of exceptions to that rule in the last fifty years American politics can be counted on less than half of one hand. They can't hear you speak ill of them if they're dead, and the corrupt ones didn't listen or care when they were alive. Fuck 'em.
