I agree with you generally, we don't want copy cats and clones, and derivatives of everything. but there is always room for competition in the same product line even with very similar design. an example product that comes to mind could be hair buzzers. some are affordable under $100, and others are boutique hair hair products that cost upwards of $200. in a free market (this isn't fact, this is my own midwit take) where two goods are competiting against each other for product market fit the better product WILL win. either because of its cost, accessibility, reputation, etc. to conclude, I personally feel like there is space for both products in the space. one as a proprietary, non-freedom focused ethos, that is very pretty and a boutique product. the other is, FOSS, DIY, and educational. Aside, big fan of what you do man. keep at it 💜💪🏼
