I mentioned this nearly a year ago.
Also, devs that are doing this only on one ecosystem annoy me. There already are interoperable calender standards. We don't need an app. We need a service that pushes and pulls calender events in to and out of nostr so that people can use perfectly functional calendar apps that they already use. Once that happens, you don't need to build out another app, you just need to point your service to whatever calender you want to use.
*I'm not a dev. I don't know how to do this in terms of the code. I do know that I really can't stand this stupid bifurcation happening already. Hook into and expand systems in simple, versatile ways instead of making new, fairly proprietary apps that don't work on people's phones or computers.

Nostr pub/priv keypairs for authentication and relays for dissemination can be built into virtually all existing apps.
well said! if you said this a year ago and this is still happening, then it means your feedback has gone by the wind. Or even if they knew, they would still do it anyway. Sometimes you have to let them experience things before they realised that there is some truth to users' feedback. Let time show it's face! ☺️👌
