I'm surprised it took them this long to roll this out. In the event of life, limb, or sight I can see this being useful.

Theres people that have figured out how to pay virtually everything even their mortgage with fold. 
-I use a costco card I pay off every month as my only card but I’ve considered this. 

 You can probably pay off your Costco card with the fold card and stack sats in the process.
