🇬 🇲 As many of you know, I'm working on the Nostr edition of "21 Questions", which is a follow-up to the Bitcoin edition that I published earlier this year, and which you can purchase here: https://a.co/d/0mcMtUC In the Nostr edition, question 5 is: "What are the most popular Nostr apps, and how do they compare?" In the comments below, list ALL the Nostr apps/clients you regularly use, and what they're mainly used for. The Nostr ecosystem is YUGE and varies widely; it seems there's always something new to discover. I'll zap the lists that I find to be the most helpful! ⚡
For basic web client, I've tried several, but always end up going back to coracle. I use highligher.com and habla.news for posting long form notes. I originally used Habla exclusively, but I've now found Highlighter more convenient because I compose and publish on substack and then I copy and paste into Highlighter. With Habla, I always had to reformat numerous things and it wouldn't allow me to have bold inside offset quotes. With Highlighter, now, I can just paste and post with no additional work. If I was going to compose inside the app, I think I would prefer Habla, but the way apps are continually updated, I'm not sure.
Amethyst - an app on Android for building social network. My main app. Primal / NoStrudel - a social app that I use on Desktop to see a different UI Alby - LN wallet, authorization to other apps, still to explore. Second most important. Fountain - an app for listening for podcasts Ostrich Work - job board on Nostr. It is related to what I do with Bitcoin and Nostr. Something what I am looking for still - private / group chat with good user experience.
I will try to make a nice, little list: for PC use: Primal - I have tried other clients for the usual browsers, but it is just the one with best performance for me. iOs (iPhone) Nostur - I really like the way the app looks and works for me, also it is easier to zap for me Primal - this one is great over here, cause I can see the tendencies of Nostr way better Damus - this is the fastest app for my use, so if I want to check in a speedy way if someone responded or zapped I will use that one. Wallet iOS: Wallet of Satoshi - I tried it and kind of fell in love, it just does the job really well. Podcasts: Fountain - Found out about this app like 5 days ago, and really like it. It has my usual podcasts, too so that is a bonus. Game: I really like a Bitcoin game called Bitcoin Snake (iOS). The prizes are not big, but a few sats a day keeps the doctor away. All the best and good luck with the Article, Horszt 💜 🧡
So very glad you use nostr.at ... it gives me hope
