When I lived in CA I went to the Filmore West. My son in law and I recently talked about all our previous concerts. He was impressed with that one, but I had to deflate his expectations because it was a very crappy little concert venue 😄

It was iconic so I had to visit it. But I was an avid concert goer in St Louis and our Kiel opera house was small but beautiful, with great acoustics. 
I just read both Filmore’s shuttered their doors in ‘71
