@13d4d206 Wow. I wonder what "too British" is. Too much tea? Not enough gun violence? People eating something else than croissants for breakfast?
@b2ab0244 I've had a few reviews of my books that said the language was confusing. I'm pretty sure they meant slang and word usage rather than spelling. Though I've had people write to tell me that my disclaimer saying I write in British English is demeaning as Americans are perfectly aware of British spellings β then go on to point out 'mistakes' that are in fact British spellings they're unfamiliar with.
@13d4d206 People... π€·
@13d4d206 Is it inappropriate to put in my favorite cover of "people are strange" here? Sorry not sorry. π https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4YQJ6KuWvQ
@b2ab0244 Aw, man! I saw the look of that video and thought I was in for a metal cover. Still, itβs very good.
@13d4d206 Ooooh, if you want to see a metal cover with quite an intriguing video to go with it, look no further than The Ominous Exhibit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4X7cNKK4638 (Yes, I am a sucker for the weird, the strange, and the outright awesome when it comes to music...)
@b2ab0244 @13d4d206 If I remember rightly (I read it when it was new), I think it's set in Devon. So there's scones and clotted cream. All dangerously British.
