It has to be deliberate. I can't even guess what the supposed endgame to it is or what the potential pay off might be but it's too obviously stupid to be accidental and have continued this long. 

 I know! It makes no sense. It has to be political because there’s no fiscal or social reason to do any of it lol. 

 Don't get me wrong someone will be getting rich off of it, guaranteed, I just can't tell who or that it'll be worth the risking pitchforks and torches crowd when it's gone so far. 

 Or it’s just political types so detached they actually don’t know the consequences of what they are doing
