Nostr is open and permissionless. Anyone and everyone can build upon it. Yes, even people that want Shitcoin support. We don't have to like it. We don't have to use those clients. We should understand the beauty that it demonstrates though.
Without shitcoins we wouldn't have evidence for how much better Bitcoin is.
Ah it's the People's Front of Judea vs. the Judean People's Front.
Reminds me of South Park
Monty Python
Never seen it. *Ducks*
I guess. We need something to compare against.
We need data to compare. The block size wars were great because it gave users data and a real choice to make, instead of just speculation on a dreamy version of the alternative.
Here's how I compare. With Bitcoin I'm hungry, with dollars I eat.
It sounds like you're not hunting in the right forest 😂
In my 28 year professional career so far I've had 17 commercial and 5 non-commercial jobs in 10 cities in 5 countries. If there is such a forest it's hiding well.
You need to hunt where he is hunting. nostr:nevent1qqs0wm2xptc5zqflg0cchdh2efkqhsvyzzssrc2fm4v7gp89cjmr09cpzdmhxue69uhk7enxvd5xz6tw9ec82c30qgs2n79n72kpnnqx65v5m5dvjv2dgaq6p9mhg3ycv4feymv3v5vpv3crqsqqqqqpsyzjf7
¢1000 is fiat money? They convert your Bitcoin to fiat with every purchase for your convenience, but the food is priced in fiat? As such the price in Bitcoin would be fluctuating wildly? If I wanted to hold Bitcoin prices would have to be somewhat stable otherwise I can't plan ahead financially. Stupid also that this "jungle" doesn't really have much of an economy (in any currency) and jobs but I guess that could sort itself out if you had a viable scheme there. Every city in the world started from nothing.
Dude frp come over and try yourself https://image.nostr.build/fce81e889bd0fc073a55df6afdff199458dc30bebfafd5c6e5d5cc58a107ed08.jpg
That's not true. The majority of merchants in Bitcoin Jungle are HODLers and also spend their sats at other businesses. They have a circular economy there. 😁
What did I miss?
Never-ending. Now I see.
Forked Amethyst with Shitcoin support.
why is monero a shitcoin?
Because it’s not Bitcoin.
Another thread about this? Unlimited supply. Which is the opposite of the whole point of money, scarcity, fixed supply. I would add that, the brilliance of bitcoin is that it achieved the optimum between all tradeoffs of the critical variables, to become immutable, incorruptible money. That’s why there will never be a second best.

There is no second best, and when the free market needs an ungovernable and untraceable digital cash, there is only one choice: https://news.bitcoin.com/privacy-coin-monero-tops-payments-at-european-online-retailer-shopinbit-in-june/
I have yet to see a client with mEtAmAsK built in, imagine what that will do for adoption. 🤣
I'm really surprised that more shitcoins haven't tried to leverage Nostr as a platform to build off of. Not even in a scammy way. If you want to add a lot of power really quickly to your project, Nostr.
They’re happy to be on something like Farcaster where you need an email address to sign up and you have to buy tokens just to use a network where everyone talks about shitcoins all day. It’s more in line with their overall vibe.
I assume they haven't because there are no incentives and most of the people here hate them. Why would they want to go where they're hated and made fun of constantly? 😂
I’m not surprised. The problem with shitcoiners is they don’t understand the problem - if they did, they wouldn’t be shitcoiners. The problem was always the money; Bitcoin is the only thing that can solve it. Everything else is a distraction. The problem nostr solves for is a permissioned internet, this is a much newer problem compared to the money but it should be clear to anyone who understands how the money got broken. We don’t need a token to solve that and that’s the first resort of everyone with the shitcoiner mindset so they won’t get it. We need to put permissionless identity first and decentralise data transfers. Everyone fucking around with Blockchain for a decade missed the power of public/private keypairs in other contexts.
Ugh. It will happen. Metamask could become a NIP-07 signing extension too. 👀

Agree. I don't even know if it would get merged 😂 But people can build without merged NIPs.
Which client has that?
