 Try 16 or 18 hour fasting.  After 12 hours, your body goes into ketosis and starts burning fat, instead of sugar and carbohydrates.  You feel hungry for the first 3 days, but after that it's ok.

 Been doing it for about 6 months, on and off.  It gets easier with time.  Sort of like a habit.  What's nice is that you lose weight without trying too hard.  I very often cave in and have a stack in the evening, but that's still OK.  You dont have to be too disciplined, and it still works.

 so I use an app that helps me calculate my fasting periods and track my progress... 

you can fast daily , weekly or even every other day .... it's up to you and everyones body and mindset is different...

 I used to fast alot I'm shaking out a depression period.... long story šŸ˜­ but I'm ready to take my health back... starting the week with 20:4 (7 days) then upping it from there ...
