@7914c59a I buy steam and physical. It's been at least a decade since I bought a game with a booklet. They all just have an insert and maybe a download code for some in-game content. I miss getting peripheral information about the game world and characters and such. I think they got nixed because studios didn't want to spend money on writers and artists for them.

Devs did get a bit carried away tho. I remember #Elite for BBC micro came with a bloody novela
