@3967703f What's the current talking point now? That slaves received skills and knowlege to benefit them in life that they could not have received without the boon of a master's employ?
Sounds an awful lot like simping for Capitalist exploitation. They're trying to combine the two and create a huge power imbalance, so they can relive the glory days of slave ownership through worker exploitation with all of a person's basic needs in the hands of the Capitalist Masters. Privatize all needs!
@b541bfe5 @3967703f They are currently legalizing child labour, child rape, forcing girls and women to give birth or die trying.

In #Alberta the UCP has also been pushing for all the years they've been in office to legitimate child labour with little to NO pay, by repealing every act that the NDP had put in place to protect against it. From re-introducing sub-minimal wages for youth workers (formerly it was for tipped workers), to fighting against Occupational Health and Safety standards in rural industry, actually arguing that this would hinder families from putting their kids to work. #abpoli

The first legislation they just pushed through regardless of criticism, but their attempt to repeal OH&S standards for rural industries was met with such a strong backlash (primarily by those who had so recently seen so many school kids KILLED in Humbolt by lack of commercial regulation for farmers), was thankfully walked back. #abpoli
@b541bfe5 @3967703f No one should have to rely on tips to eat - if your business isn't viable enough to pay a half decent wage then maybe you are in the wrong business.
Can you imagine if you had to tip your healthcare workers or even the clerk at your local store(s).
