A good starter wallet is Wallet of Satoshi (If you are not in the US). It's super easy, you get a lightning address for zaps on nostr. It's custodial though, so I wouldn't leave large amounts on there

No, I’m in Europe. But I think it will not take long and we will also have such restrictions here in Europe. Governments get a lot of problems, if the people don’t want their money anymore. This has to be fought. How many countries no longer wanted to sell their raw materials, such as oil or gas, in dollars, but in euros? Everyone get immediately huge problems with the USA. One war and it's quiet again. This is how the USA rules. Of course, they get angry when no one wants their dollars anymore. And their own citizens aren’t far away, they have to want the dollars.
I hope that with the growing trend towards mainstream uptake of bitcoin we will keep access to #walletofsatoshi and many others. I really like wos and #getalby but there are many other hot wallets available for Lightning payments, I have a little in a few to mitigate risks as much as i can whilst supporting the developers and zap from various clients. If you want to start hodling larger amounts then I suggest getting yourself a hardware wallet though. Just in case...
