Ok, working on day 5 of no nicotine, and realizing my why this time around isn't all that strong. I think I'm mainly in it to see if it helps my blood pressure numbers. I'm just not all that scared of the cancers, now that I don't fuel them with sugar. My social circle doesn't frown on nicotine, almost the opposite. Right now I could easily see quitting for a year or two, not seeing a ton of improvement in bp, and starting up again.
Allen Carr's Easy Way To Stop Smoking worked for my wife and me.
Much appreciated - this was super helpful. Not so much the method or the book, but just taking the time to watch some yootoobs. I'd forgotten how helpful immersing myself in yootoobs was in quitting sugars. Even just documenting my experience here is helpful, because it exposes the bullshit. And nicotine addiction brings with it a ton of bullshit.
