Over half of the world’s economies, accounting for two-thirds of the global population, now have fertility rates below the replacement fertility level of 2.1 children per woman. Good morning. https://i.nostr.build/CzlJDthofcxtDqag.jpg https://i.nostr.build/fG3i4oj2EQZroV6J.jpg
Fine dude, I get it. I need to have kids 😤
As a new father, I highly recommend it. As @HODL says “you’re not a man until you have a child.”
Having a child doesn’t dictate whether or not I am or am not a man. But appreciate the insight. Just not for everyone unfortunately.
Nothing makes you grow up and mature like having to care for and provide for another human. A human that you helped create.
Employment is liberating, but I don’t work for ifcoiners
Love is defined by selfless sacrifices that benefit the loved. Parenting isn't the only way to learn and increase the capacity to love, but it's the most available/common one God gave us. The incentive schemes all fail because they don't address the root problem that society no longer seeing value or reward found through sacrifice or suffering offered on behalf of others. My 3 daughters require more than I knew I was capable of but return so much more. Worth it even when it doesn't like when we lost our first child.
Sidebar, but one of the funniest terms I’ve heard for kids is “sex receipts.” Anyway, highly recommend.
Honestly. It’s very true. There goal is to do what you can to listen to all those who came before. And yet we never do and then, to some degree or another, we always look back and think how we would do it all better as parents. Or maybe that’s just me projecting. I have great young adult men and I’m very proud of how they’ve turned out. Even still, I do look back on what I should have done better.
100% true My 3 children are my world and they have changed me for the better Without them, I would not be the man I am today Lets repopulate this beautiful world with lovely children and raise them to understand what is really valuable in life.
It can be a metric but it's not a measure
more place for your children
I didn't realize how widespread this problem is until Elon started harping on it. The rate of decline is alarming.
Not a very relevant xy comparison though. It would be more informafive to see the top 2/3rds of countries by population size vs birthrate. So the headline would end up being 'the top 2/3rds of the biggest countries in the world by population have a birthrate below replacement levels' for example. I suspect that's not the case as global pop is going up, but it would certaknly be more relevant.
Overpopulation is, and has been for quite some time, clearly not a problem. So why is the population reduction narrative still so dominant? nostr:nevent1qqsxpny36nkc6kftjpxsex6gdmhrtc47sgw8ac4fpygr0kxadnk3p9cpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgtczyrzgu20sfdyzesqu58u7lryxa7p33szeur5n2v34zchssrexu9xpzqcyqqqqqqghah6hv
In all likelihood, these stats will be skewed even further in favour of Africa in the near future: https://thehighwire.com/ark-videos/dr-naomi-wolf-reveals-shocking-details-in-the-pfizer-papers-2/
Africa is in a dangerous position. Yes they have a high birthrate. But its only in certain countries. And it's dropping for the dame reason it dropped here. Education, stable infrastructure and good sanitation. But as a continent its over reliant on the rest of the world both east and west for imports, especially in the agricultural and medical fields. When we go, they will go first. The proverbial canary in the coal mine...
I hope the readers realize what this means. If you have less than 3 children... YOU. ARE. PART. OF. THE. PROBLEM. Stop whining on nostr and go make babies.
