The 1971 “temporarily” suspension was just the final nail in the sound money coffin. Remember in the early sixties when they started minting coins with cheap metals. Remember in 1933 when the government made it illegal to own gold.
It all started in 1913 with creation of the FED and then the 16th amendment.
Couldn't we just suspend the FED temporarily?
