@3967703f They also shout down anyone who accurately describes the problem by calling fascists fascists. That's how we get all those think pieces about "polarization" in the NY Times & Washington Post. They make it impossible to even accurately describe the problem, then wring their hands and wonder why no one is doing something about the problem, and why am I suddenly getting so many death threats from fascists? Sigh.
@3967703f part of what I’m seeing as well is the lack of real useful news as well. Newsrooms have been replaced by AI, bots, whatever you want to call them. When national news outlets started using stories they found on Twitter, Breitbart, Apple News they lost me. The loss of newspapers, where you can slowly absorb an article is a tragedy. Private Equity just bought them all up and cut them all up..
