 Just activated a $1 sim card with a fake name and with a visa gift card paid for with bitcoin. If you are not SIM cycling every couple months, you are putting yourself at risk. Bonus points if your device is degoogled. Especially if you are going to Nashville. protect your shit.

 Yes, a cheapo unlocked $50 android works too, or sim cycle with your higher end degoogled device. Not sure which way is best, but yep.
