 @dc87953e It's inherent in the meaning of "include" - "comprise a part of a whole". 
E.g. "…Mastering the Internet' (MTI) project, which includes the development of technology to track emails and telephone calls in the UK". That suggests that there is more to the project than the development - there are other parts of the project too.
Does that make sense? 
 @2184a19c Right! I thought somehow about "including" in a sense of adding some new elements to an existing collection. 

But I don't know from which language my brain took this interpretation, being fluent in many languages makes it a strange soup sometimes. 
 @dc87953e Oh yes, that's definitely OK. It's just "including among others" is tautological.
How many languages do you know?
