 A question for other cat owners:

When your cat sends you an invoice do they normally let you know in advance that they were planning on charging for the "service"? (in this case "helping to keep laundry in place by lying on it, 3 hours")

I always try to pay on time but these new bills a blindsiding me! And I don't even know if this one needed to be done, my pants are covered in hair...

 @134318c2 not sure about invoices — my cat was on direct deposit, and I was on a need-to-know basis. 🤷‍♂️
 @134318c2 My cat has opted to fart on my clothes.
 @134318c2 So your cat's a lawyer?
 @134318c2 I mean my cat is kind enough to let me live in her house. She owns the house. I just pay the mortgage, and that's a satisfactory financial relationship for both of us.

Seriously though, as much as we joke about how "cats have staff", I like that they haven't quite been as domesticated to be servile like dogs have.
 @134318c2 The currency on our cats' invoices are treats and attention, payable now, payable always. I don't care that you're having supper, pay now!!!
 @134318c2 Typical fatcat 🙄

My neighbour's cat doesn't demand payment when he comes round to make sure the warm spot on my sofa doesn't go cold.
He does however expect a generous tip.
