I sometimes call it tweet because I'm not sure what we are supposed to call it but still hanging onto the word "twitter" and "tweet" on purpose is lame.
I find a lot of people who still call it twitter are just angry deep down inside because the person who bought it doesn't align with their values. So it's their way to trying to express their anger.

Most don't really understand or think about the true reason Elon Musk bought twitter and rebranded it to X.
The name was picked for a reason meant for the future but if we told the "most" they would not accept it and think it's "silly"

People try to come up with other words, but tweet sticks. I haven't found anything else that makes sense or rolls off the tongue as well.

Oldschool Twitter was genuely amazing. An era has ended with Musks' takeover - probably a while before with the hyper-commercialization.
