No. Those would not fall into the category of hiking shoes that I'm looking for, specifically.
For a more general shoe, those seem to be in line with the basic requirements I have for my feets, at least physically. I have qualms about buying products made by Nike, in general.
seen, there are ethical issues no doubt -- but their innovation in design rocks! Also, some people hike in barefoots-- so AirScapes are about half way between the big old hiking boot and a barefoot one... I find it to be a great compromise as it has the Nike air sole.... since I work nights as a floorwalker up and down on concrete I sure need the support...
They certainly do have quite an excellent design team.
I know a few barefoot hikers. That's... Not for be. I have some foot things that require that I wear shoes for walking, especially with rocky terrain.
Working nights is tough. 🫂
working nights is like walking on black ice --- which I have to do, as well on the way to work all winter long :) to do that I wear UGGS...
The most appropriately named footwear ever. (I'm teasing, they are warm.)
.... true, but there is nothing like slipping your bare feet into cozy sheep shearing after a long night when faced with short walk home in -30 C
I know those temps. And you're right!
I’m a Brooks maxi. Ran many trail races, road or whatever. They hold up
I wonder if they have a wide enough toe box.
super wide --- that is another one of my issues.... I have tried other Nike's and they are too narrow... also I have the long Greek Toe that messes up shoe sizes and there is plenty of room there too!
I might add them to my list to check out.
Thank you!
