One cannot be free standing next to a slave
One can be free in any situation. Was Buddha not free next to a slave? What about Adiyogi? Socrates? Diogenes? Lao Tzu?
Buddha was teaching was about freeing yourself from the ego. It’s the ego that enslaves human beings. To me freedom is linked to empathy and freedom stops when it hinder other human being freedom.
You didn’t answer my question. Were the masters I mentioned not free standing next to a slave?
