Are you a patriot of your country?
Country yes, co-opted govt no.
No, never really have been. I’ve been to 30+ countries and there are benefits and drawbacks to each. I’ve never felt tied or loyal to a single location or country. “Go where you are treated best”
Nationalism always made me a little uneasy, but I like much of the writing from the Enlightment Age.
I was somewhat until this asshole showed up and ruined it. https://image.nostr.build/113741ad36ced96cfeb2564b8e05886b098a39e836bd0a56d92d19528cd74446.jpg
Depends on the definition of "patriot" you use....
Define Patriotism. I love my country. I would defend it against enemies. But I would not run into a constructed war, created from neo-cons and corrupt politicians. That's why knowledge about history and politics is so important. It makes the difference, if you are a hero or just a dumb victim, who died for the "rich men north of Richmond"
Fans of their country.
I am a fan of my country, but left it. Maybe I'll go back after the EU is collapsed and politicians getting normal. Until that happens, I'll stay outside and don't feed them with my taxes. I am 63
Why would you use such a vague term without first defining it? It makes you seem ideological. Nobody likes ideologues
The ideology is fuck the government!
