There is way too much regulatory friction in the process of getting a live animal to a customers fridge/freezer. Now that certifications exist, it should be between the customer and the rancher what certifications are acceptable (if any), for the customer to make the purchase.
Moving our operation to a Bitcoin standard has allowed us to scale back and not feel the pressure of keeping up with the rat race that is caused by depreciating fiat. We spend more time as a family, visiting with family, enjoying and sharing the beauty of our land with friends that share in that appreciation. Our business is focused on our best customers and a tight knit community that understands the value of our high quality products which they pay for using an asset of equal quality. #Bitcoin
Who do they sell their beef to? Is it one of the big five Texas Slim talks about? Or is it shipped overseas? Would a statewide strike help bring this issue to the attention of the average consumer? UK farmers did a weeklong strike to protest the new inheritance tax on farmland. Not to starve anybody, not to create shortages, just to make a little blip in prices so the average person would understand that if we run our farmers out of business, we are in real trouble. This is a great podcast. You should listen to. Even if you don’t become a regular listener, you should listen to this episode. https://fountain.fm/episode/eSHXWEwo4kV019VLFDhm
At least 60% of our calories come from the half cows that we buy from a local regenerative ranch. I have no words of wisdom, but I'm sure I speak for many when I say that ranchers should be revered, not harassed. Tell them thank you!
GOOD PEOPLE MUST STAND TOGETHER. PUSH FORWARD. NEVER STOP.
And speak up so that you know who one another are.
This is an opportunity to have your words of encouragement and appreciation for ranchers heard by about 200 of them. If you ever wanted to tell a rancher what their work means to you but don't know any this is your chance and, God knows, they need to hear from the people they serve. nostr:note1vcf2g5vacdt2md26z6vmwy56dhmmmv7k05mw0c579ztf7d0fe0es7zl74a
Is there a way other folks can help? Especially if living in the PNW?
Well, the King Ranch could always use straight cash to help with the mounting legal fees and anyone willing to send this link to their donation page out through social media and what not is also appreciated. https://www.ruralamericainaction.com/fundraising/save-king-ranch-and-agriculture-in-washington
Keep doing what you are doing men and women. The darkest night is just about to end and the dawn of sanity and goodness is upon us. You have millions of people behind you, good strong people who are willing to help defend the freedom to produce healthy food. Take heart, and ride high in the saddle!
